Ramblings, Rants and other Meaderings

So it's November 5th, 2008. We have a new President of the United States of America. Yahoo! Is all I can say. The election/campaign is finally over!!! I am so sick of it! I love that I live in America and that we have a democratic government and the people choose who their leader is but this campaign leading up to this election has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG!!! I'm just glad it's over and we can move on and see what President Obama does with the presidency. Let's hope he does something good with it. :-)
I love to read. I love to read good books. I love to read when I am in my bed all snuggled up warm with my many blankets on my bed. It is one of the best things to do any day of the year. Currently I am reading Brisnger. It is the third book in a series. So far it's a great book. I would totally recommend it.
My feet are cold. They seem to always be cold. Even when wearing socks and shoes. The problem this presents is that I love to go barefoot. I mean I love shoes. They are lots of fun, but given the choice I would go without..almost everywhere. Except that my feet get cold and I HATE having cold feet.
Christmas is coming up and I love Christmas and making gifts. Except that this year I have no idea what to make for gifts. Any ideas? I like to make my gifts because I love getting gifts that are homemade/handmade I think that they are more personal that way. Granted I won't turn down gift cards and such but I just like the homemade ones the best. This year I really wanted to do something fun. But I can't think of anything. So let me have those ideas!! Please!!
I hate dust! I don't think I have mentioned this before, but I really hate dust. It just gets to me. Now I am not the best duster in the world and if you walked into my room right now you would see dust on my book shelves but still I can't stand it! It makes me feel dirty. UG! Yesterday I dusted all of the book shelves in my family room, and all of the staircases in our house. It took a while but they look so much better now. Whenever I see dust I want to wipe if off, it's a compulsion. OCD!! I also like it when books on a bookshelf are organized. Either alphabetically or by size. I know I am crazy. I also organize my movies and music alphabetically. My brother, Nathan, laughs every time I get a new CD or movie and I have to put it in correct order. But he loves it everytime he is looking for something and it's easier to find because it's in an order!! Whatever, I just can't not put them in any other way. Yes, I know major OCD!!!
My family and I are going camping this weekend in Morro Bay. And for those of you who don't know where that is..it's on the central south coast of California. It's a beautiful place. Anyway, we are camping in tents and all I am hopeing for is that it doesn't get too cold and that it doesn't rain. It really stinks when it rains and you are camping. Everything gets wet and you are even more cold than you were before and it's just uncomfortable. I remember this one camping trip that we took with the Green's. We went over Memorial Day weekend. I believe we were up at Shaver Lake or Dinky Creek. I really don't remember which but anyway, it snowed on us. Sooooo cold. I remember having to move out of our tent and into my parents big van because it was too cold to sleep in the tent. I don't remember much else of the trip except that we had a lot of fun. Oh and that I decided that I didn't like camping in the snow. Anyway, I just hope it doesn't rain this weekend at the coast. Cross your fingers!
I love collecting quotes. From everywhere. TV, books, Church it really doesn't matter where I get them from. I have a poster in my room that I add them too. I was just thinking about it...I need some new ones to add to it. Any suggestions?
Well I better sign off, if I ever intend to get anything else done today. So until next time...

"From every book invisible threads reach out to other books; and as the mind comes to use and control those threads the whole panorama of the world's life, past and present, becomes constantly more varied and interesting, while at the same time the mind's own powers of reflection and judgment are exercised and strengthened."
